- En rupture de stock

Alexandre Rola's artworks begin before painting, in the demanding gesture of tearing down posters, in a search for images that originates new images where, sometimes, words undergo a process of metamorphism, forming an image, an idea, a message. There is an appropriation of the real with all its sociological component. In this painting, the artist offers us a complicity, but simultaneously critical view of contemporary society as the female condition and silence aroud it. It´s all intimately linked to the presence of the body. The body as subject and not object. As a place and encounter with the world, its relationship with sensuality, the confrontation with reality. Sometimes, a purposely disordered final plan emerges, in a game of seduction with chance where there is a certain apparent bewilderment as it renounces what is instituted and, at the same time, a hope in the meeting with each reader.
