Casa do Canto

Casa do Canto dates back to the 17th century (1680), but its more recent history begins in the early 19th century. A stone engraved in the winery records the 1856 wine production: 4,678 pipes, making it the largest winery in the region at the time.

From the original structure, only the House Chapel, the former carriage house (now used for fermenting and aging natural sparkling wines), the courtyard where vinegars mature, and the still where old wines age remain. The current residence was built in 1903, with the region’s oldest oak tree as its neighbor.
